Bonhams boasts its first curated fine art auction to be held in Australia, the honours going to the highly respected art adviser John Cruthers. How this differs from your regular sale is that the “curator”, Cruthers in this case, has turned to his pool of contacts and knowledge of collections, and potential works that might enter the secondary market from those collections, and has then curated “an exhibition for sale” that is offered as a series of lots.
