Art Month Sydney made a great impact this year; continuing to grow the event in new directions.

One such initiative was a partnership with NAB Private Wealth to establish an Emerging Artist Award. Last night Tully Arnot was announced the inaugural winner of the $10,000 acquisitive award at an exhibition of the finalists’ work.

Arnot moves across mediums in his work from video to animated installations to sculpture to image making. There is a rawness, inventiveness and a sense of humour in his work. He also has a tremendous capacity to fuse the most banal everyday with cutting edge technology.
