Wolfgang Sievers (1913-2007) has been described as an, ‘icon of 20th century Australian photography’, an artist who captured the architecture of industry, monumentalising man and machine alike.

In the days when machines were heavy metal not silicon chips, Sievers cast a light on the glory of tooled achievement and the way machines shape our identity as a civilised nation.
