John Wolseley and MulkunWirrpanda on country; supplied

Every now and again you get an exhibition that is so on point that it ticks every box – not in a bureaucratic way, but rather for its social veracity.

Midawarr/Harvest: The Art of MulkunWirrpanda and John Wolseley opened this week at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT), Darwin – an exhibition that is the culmination of an extraordinary friendship between two of Australia’s most distinguished senior artists, landscape artist John Wolseley and Yolŋu artist, MulkunWirrpanda. It  celebrates their shared obsession with traditional Yolŋu plant use, and its social, cultural and environmental significance.
