The finalists of the M16 2018 Drawing Prize have been announced!
The M16 Drawing Prize is for drawing in either traditional drawing media and techniques, or non-traditional works that extend understanding of what drawing may be within contemporary art practice.
The Drawing Prize continues to grow in popularity, with the number and quality of entries increasing year on year. This year M16 received around 200 entries of which 20 were selected from around Australia and internationally. It was a highly competitive field. The judges selected the finalists for this year’s prize and final prize awards are Alison Alder, Head- Printmedia and Drawing, Australian National University and Christopher Chapman, Senior Curator, National Portrait Gallery.
The finalist’s exhibition will open on 6pm Thursday 29th November, with the winners announced around 6.30pm.
