One of the largest exhibitions of contemporary Chinese images ever shown in Australia, photographer Marcus Reubenstein has chronicled life across more than 20 Chinese cities over the past decade.
Brought to life in brilliant large format prints, the largest installation is three metres wide, with featured prints stretching 1.8 metres. The artist's objective is to represent the enormity of China not simply as a nation but as a people whose customs and cultures extend over more than 5,000 years.
This unique exhibition features 70 images across prints and multi-media installations. The colour, scale and fine details of these images present China in a light rarely seen beyond its borders.
Timed to coincide with Sydney's 2019 Chinese New Year Celebrations, this event is staged with the support of CMC Markets.
From January 31 to February 10.
