Melbourne Photographer David Rosendale – Falls Creek Artist in Residence 2017-2018, returns to the QT Hotel for a second consecutive year, exhibiting stunning photographic works from “The Fall”, an immersive year long study of seasonal change and landscape at Falls Creek Victoria.
After touring the collection to Melbourne and Canberra in late 2018, this curated exhibition includes previously unreleased and new editions, spanning the years 2016 – 2019.
Rosendale's work has been featured by major domestic & international brands and featured in prestigious publications and awards such as the Australian National Photographic Portrait Prize, and semi Finalist in the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize. David’s work seeks graphical and compositional harmony within the natural and man altered landscape, his artworks act as witness to the evidences human activity & coexistence leaves upon it.
David was granted Artist in Residence at the Alpine Resort of Falls Creek in Victoria, embarking on a project that would document all 4 seasons and imbue the photographer’s role as observer throughout a year-long cycle of change. Ski infrastructure and the subtle human footprint in the region, plays supporting role to the majestic mountains, serving as reminder of the fragment human activity plays within the geography.
