Processes and Practices in Brian Robinson’s Prints: Two Perspectives.
Dr Susanna Castleden & Ms Mandy Downing
Wednesday 13 November 12:30pm - 1:30pm
Dr Susanna Castleden and Ms Mandy Downing will discuss the relationships between the imagery used in Robinson’s artworks and the inherent multiplicity afforded in printmaking, thus providing an interesting space to consider the context and culture of printmaking more widely. This exhibition also provides an opportunity to consider the process of making large-scale lino cuts as well as Robinson’s manipulation of surfaces that transform the traditionally two-dimensional print into a sculptural object.
Dr Susanna Castleden is a Senior Lecturer & Director of Graduate Research, School of Media, Creative Arts and Social Inquiry.
Ms Mandy Downing is a Yindjibarndi woman & Senior Research Services Officer, Research Office at Curtin University.
